Florida Gulf Coast University’s Academic Building 10 is envisioned as the university’s largest academic building at approximately 171,750 gross square feet across four stories, delivering a state-of-the-art home for health sciences education, research, and clinical engagement while pursuing LEED Silver Certification.

Designed in close collaboration with FGCU stakeholders, AB10 is organized primarily around the needs of the FGCU's Marieb College of Health & Human Services and associated disciplines. The facility incorporates specialized and highly flexible teaching environments, research areas, and technology-rich laboratories supporting physical therapy, nursing, advanced nurse practitioners, physician assistant, occupational therapy, behavioral health, clinical laboratory sciences, health administration and sciences, and public health. A robust healthcare simulation suite anchors the program and promotes interprofessional collaboration among students and faculty.

In addition to its instructional and research mission, AB10 is planned to expand FGCU’s capacity for primary care clinical services for the student population and respond to the needs of the region’s rapidly aging population and senior living community. The program includes a large lecture hall, multipurpose rooms, advising areas, faculty offices, conference spaces, and informal learning environments—collectively shaping a student-centered, highly functional, and wellness-focused academic destination.
